Most of the time I can’t quite pinpoint exactly how I feel about J Crew. I can always find things that I like there, and I know that buying them would make me feel like a fancy adult, but the price tags just make me sad.
Well, this summer, and especially with the 4th of July so rapidly approaching, forget the stars. I want stripes. They’re clean, crisp, and look oh so put together.
And of course, nobody does stripes quite like J Crew.
Honestly, my vision for a stripey shirt is a teensy bit different from either of these. It’s got 3/4 sleeves instead of long. These’ll definitely do, though. And I get cold pretty much all the time, so long sleeved shirts are always welcome in my closet.
My favorite of the two shirts is the Ribbon Stripe Boatneck Tee. I like that it’s got stripes of different widths and colors. It’s different and fun. Unfortunately for me, it’s $49.50.
I’m also a big fan of the red Painter Boatneck Tee in Stripe. This one is $45, so it’s not that much better.
It looks like my days of not buying things at J Crew are not over, so I’ll check Forever 21 for a comprable style that costs a fraction of anything at J Crew. Sorray!
