I love me some Burt’s Bees. I may grow tired of it from time to time and stray to other brands of lip balm, but it’s always there for me when I come crawling back, woefully crying my apologies. And then, to make a beautiful thing even more beautiful, it mends my bruised and battered lips without thinking twice.
I realize that I’m going a little bit overboard because I’m not actually talking about a human being, or even something that’s alive, but I’m sure you get it. The stuff is great.
Actually, it’s better than great; it’s grand.
Anyway, lately I’ve had my eye on their tinted lip balms. Hibiscus, if you want me to get specific. Because if I’m gonna get a tinted lip balm, it had might as well be from a kick ass brand. And it had better be no more than $7. So it had might as well be from Burt’s Bees.
Also, I like calling my chapstick Burt. So there.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: all good things come in sticks.
I don’t know how it happened, but my lips feel like monsters right now. I mean I know they’re sensitive, but come on. As much as I love my Rosebud Salve, it doesn’t appear to be doing the trick anymore.
The next product I desperately want to try in order to keep my poor lips from falling off is the Josie Maran Argan Oil Moisturizing Stick. It’s $22, but it’s organic, natural, argan, and packs a whopping 6.1 ounces. All good things, my friends, all good things.
I’m hoping that Argan Oil will cure my miserable lips, because right now they’re being real rude, and I’m tired of it.
My lips are major jerks. They’re constantly chapped, and the few chapsticks and lip balms that work never seem to work for very long. Burt’s Beeswax only works once in a blue moon, EOS doesn’t cut it, and if I put Chapstick brand on my lips, they feel like they’re going to fall right off.
The one brand that always does me right is Smith’s Rosebud Salve. I’m currently using the original lip balm tube, but the strawberry varietal is absolutely magical. Actually, every flavor (yes, flavor) I’ve tried is pretty great.
Personally, I prefer the lip balm tubes because I’d rather not have to jab my finger into a bunch of lip balm in order to apply it. Also, I find that a thicker coat is more effective.
You can also use Rosebud Salve on rough or irritated skin, which is an added perk.
I love it and would highly recommend it to anyone.
